Monkton woman charged with receiving stolen property

MONKTON — A Monkton woman was charged with receiving stolen property after Vermont State Troopers recovered a vehicle reported stolen by a Westford couple, authorities said Wednesday.

According to the Vermont State Police, Troopers were alerted by the South Burlington Police Department around 3:31 p.m. on Oct. 1 that a stolen vehicle was being tracked to a location on Tyler Bridge Road.

Upon arrival, Troopers found the vehicle in the possession of Jodi Palmer, 47, at her Monkton residence.

The vehicle was confirmed to belong to Donna Hill, 54, and Gordon Hill Jr., 57, of Westford.

The car was subsequently returned to its rightful owners.

Palmer was issued a citation to appear in the Addison County Superior Court’s Criminal Division at a later date to face charges related to the incident.

Further details about the case have not been released pending the ongoing investigation.
