Boston police seize firearm, ammo, drugs in Dorchester warrant operation

BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested three individuals and recovered a firearm, ammunition, and drugs while executing a warrant in Dorchester on Monday.

The Youth Violence Strike Force, working with the Massachusetts State Police, carried out the service of an arrest warrant at an apartment located at 95 Willowwood St. The operation resulted in the arrests of Syncere Lindsay, 20, of Hyde Park, and two 17-year-old juvenile males on arrest warrants for various offenses.

During the search that followed the arrests, officers found a Springfield Armory .45- caliber firearm with one round in the chamber and a large capacity magazine containing ten rounds of ammunition.

They also seized a large package of crack cocaine and an assortment of pills.

One of the juveniles was taken into custody and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity feeding device, and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

This individual also faces an arraignment for an outstanding warrant related to a probation or parole violation.

The second juvenile is also set to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on an outstanding warrant for a probation or parole violation.

Lindsay is facing arraignment in the same court for an outstanding warrant, including charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and possession of a large capacity feeding device.
