SHARON — A Hartford man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after a routine traffic stop revealed an active warrant for his arrest.

At approximately 9:53 a.m., Vermont State Police from the Royalton Barracks stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation at the intersection of VT Route 14 and VT Route 132.

The driver, Brandon M. Marquardt, 32, was found to have an outstanding in-state warrant, which included a bail amount of $200.

Marquardt was arrested without incident and brought to the VSP Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was later transported to the Windsor County Court Criminal Division to respond to the charges.

Authorities remind those interested in the case that court dates and times can change and advise calling the criminal court clerk to confirm the arraignment schedule.
