Boston man arrested for armed robbery in Jamaica Plain

BOSTON — Police arrested a 33-year-old Boston man Sunday night in connection with an armed robbery near Stony Brook Train Station in Jamaica Plain.

Adrian Thomas was taken into custody around 9:30 p.m. after officers responded to a reported robbery at 156 Boylston St., according to the Boston Police Department.

The victim told police he was walking on Boylston Street around 8:50 p.m. when a man approached him, implied he had a firearm, and demanded his belongings.

The suspect took the victim’s cellphone, wallet, headphones and a gold ring before fleeing.

Using GPS tracking on the victim’s phone, officers located Thomas near Dixwell Street and Columbus Avenue.

Police said they recovered all of the victim’s stolen items in the area.

Thomas is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on armed robbery charges.

The victim was not injured during the incident.
