Suspect nabbed in Roxbury shooting incident

BOSTON — A Roxbury man was arrested Friday morning in connection with a shooting earlier in the week, according to the Boston Police Department.

Gary Bon, 52, was taken into custody at 8:59 a.m. by members of the Youth Violence Strike Force and officers from District B-2 near 85 Warren Street.

Bon had an outstanding warrant for multiple charges, including Armed Assault to Murder and Firearm Use in a Felony.

The arrest followed a report of gunfire on Monday at approximately 3:25 p.m. near 39 Warren Street, where police found ballistic evidence though no victims were located.

Bon, who now faces several firearm-related charges and Destruction of Property over $1,200, is slated to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
