Cranston woman arrested for insurance fraud, Pawtucket man faces domestic assault charges

CRANSTON — At 4:40 p.m., Rhode Island State Police troopers arrested Elizabeth Son, 40, of Cranston, on an affidavit for insurance fraud following an investigation at the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the culmination of a probe by Troopers Miguel, Read, and Murphy.

Son was taken to the barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

In a separate incident, at 1:35 a.m., troopers apprehended Joan Serrata Rodriguez, 38, of Pawtucket, on charges of domestic simple assault and/or battery and domestic disorderly conduct.

The arrest occurred after a disturbance on Route 95 in Providence.

Serrata Rodriguez was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.
