Boston police identify victim in Jamaica Plain homicide

BOSTON — An adult male victim of a shooting in Jamaica Plain has been identified following a Shot Spotter activation and subsequent reports of gunfire on the night of Sept. 23.

Officers from District E-13 responded to the scene at 277 Centre St. around 9:22 p.m., where they found 19-year-old Quami J.

Clarke suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Clarke, a Boston resident, was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances of the incident.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470.
