BETHEL — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Main St and Vermont Castings Rd left one person with suspected minor injuries Thursday afternoon.

At about 3:50 p.m., Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks responded to a collision involving a 2013 Chevrolet Impala and a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

The Impala, driven by 75-year-old Dola Dartt of Bethel, was exiting Vermont Castings Rd when it collided with the Jeep traveling eastbound on South Main St, operated by 35-year-old Evan Abbott of Royalton.

Dartt sustained minor injuries to his arms and chest and was assessed at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the incident, and neither vehicle contained passengers.

The Bethel Fire Department provided onsite assistance, and Duprey’s Towing removed the damaged vehicles from the scene.

Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, which occurred during rainy weather and on wet roads.

Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
