CONCORD — A Rumney man wanted on multiple charges including assault and domestic violence was arrested Monday night following a pursuit that ended at the New Hampshire Technical Institute campus, prompting a temporary lockdown.

The operation to apprehend Charles Cutting II, 37, began just after 8 p.m. on Sept. 23 when New Hampshire State Police teamed up with Concord Police Department after identifying Cutting as the suspect in a domestic violence case.

Cutting led law enforcement on a chase through Concord, eventually reaching the NHTI campus where he abandoned his vehicle.

The campus was placed under a shelter-in-place order while officers searched the area, locating Cutting on a walking trail adjacent to Interstate 393 eastbound.

Cutting now faces additional charges including disobeying an officer, two counts of reckless conduct, and reckless operation.

Sgt. Sean Smarz of the New Hampshire State Police has called for anyone with information that could aid the investigation to contact him at (603) 892-5512.
