Hartford woman arrested for taking vehicle without consent

HARTFORD — A Hartland woman was arrested Monday evening after allegedly taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Stacy Beckett, 39, is accused of unlawfully using Jerome Clement’s vehicle, Hartford Police reported.

Clement, 57, also from Hartland, alerted authorities around 3:40 p.m. that his former partner had taken his car without permission.

Following a Be On the Lookout alert issued to the local area, Hartford Police located Beckett at a McDonald’s parking lot at 6:30 p.m. She was issued a criminal citation for Operating without Owner’s Consent in relation to Clement’s vehicle.

In addition to the citation she received for the vehicle incident, Hartford Police also cited Beckett for multiple charges stemming from a separate incident.

Details of the other charges were not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing, and further information will be released as it becomes available.
