NEWPORT –– It was an incredible night of celebration for the North Country Hospital family as 275 staff members and their guests gathered at the Elks Club Saturday night for an evening of thanking staff for years of service, 5 through 45 years, and celebrating our hometown hospital.
“We are betting on as well as counting on our future as the cornerstone of healthcare in the most rural part of the Northeast Kingdom, and what better way to see that than with so many decades of commitment by our staff,” said President & CEO Tom Frank.
A longtime tradition of this annual event includes the selection of VIP of the Year. Each month peers select a VIP of the month, and then one is chosen from the last 12 months. This year’s recipient is Dawn Murphy-Waters. Dawn has worked as a Lab Assistant in the NCH Laboratory for seven years and is a certified phlebotomist.
Some casino games, a photo booth, a spread of a hot appetizer buffet, and dancing to the band ETA rounded out the fun night.
