Man arrested on multiple charges after Lincoln accident

LINCOLN — State Troopers arrested a Rhode Island man on a slew of charges following a motor vehicle accident on Route 146, authorities said.

Edward Luna Salcedo, 36, of Manville, was taken into custody at 3:16 p.m. after Troopers responded to the accident in the Town of Lincoln.

Salcedo faces charges including third-offense DUI, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, refusal to submit to a chemical test, and failure to stop for an accident, among others.

Salcedo was also charged with receiving stolen goods under $1,500, vandalism, and driving after denial of license revocation.

He was held overnight at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and is scheduled for arraignment as a bail violator at Third District Court.

In a separate incident at 10:13 p.m., Edmund Davis, 30, of Providence, was arrested on two bench warrants for driving with a suspended license.

The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Junction Street in Providence.

Davis was processed at the same barracks and then transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Later, at 10:27 p.m., Troopers arrested Creichaun Garrett, 28, of Pawtucket, for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and reckless driving after responding to another accident on Route 6 West in Providence.

Garrett was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and will be arraigned as a bail and probation violator upon release.
