St. Johnsbury man arrested for DUI, outstanding warrants

ST. JOHNSBURY — A St. Johnsbury man was arrested late Sunday night after a traffic stop revealed he was wanted on multiple warrants and was driving under the influence of drugs.

Phillip Greene, 35, was pulled over by state troopers on U.S. Route 2 in St. Johnsbury for what they described as “numerous violations.” During the stop, which occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m., it was discovered that Greene had an active extraditable warrant from New Hampshire, as well as a warrant from Vermont.

Further investigation by the troopers determined Greene was operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

Following the arrest, Greene was held without bail and later transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex.

He has been issued a citation to appear before the Caledonia County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Nov. 25 at 8:30 a.m. to face the charge of DUI – Drugs.
