NEWBURY — A Wells River man was arrested Thursday on charges of violating conditions of release and on two outstanding warrants, Vermont State Police said.

Timothy Kearney, 32, was taken into custody at 12:40 p.m. after troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks located him in the Town of Newbury.

Officials said Kearney was wanted on two warrants: one with a docket number 24-CR-09620 with a $200 bail and another with docket number 24-CR-09112 carrying a $500 bail.

During the arrest, it was discovered that Kearney had also violated his court-ordered conditions of release.

He was processed at the Bradford Outpost and then transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex due to his inability to post the combined bail amount of $700.

Kearney is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on Sept. 23 at 12:30 p.m. to face the new charges.
