WATERBURY — A burglary at the Arandas III convenience store on River Rd. has prompted an investigation by the Vermont State Police, authorities reported Saturday.

The incident occurred early Saturday at approximately 1:30 a.m. According to the police, two individuals were involved, with one slender male forcefully entering the store by shattering the front door’s glass with a large rock.

The suspect reportedly stole Loon vape products before fleeing the scene in a waiting vehicle.

Police have noted striking similarities between this burglary and one at CrossRoads Beverage and Deli on Aug. 30.

Images released by the authorities show both the suspect and the getaway vehicle, which are believed to be connected to both crimes.
