ST. JOHNSBURY — A 57-year-old St. Johnsbury woman was arrested and charged with simple assault following a dispute at a local apartment complex, police said.
Corporal Hartwell and Officer Ellingwood of the St. Johnsbury Police Department responded to the incident at 10 Eastern Avenue on Sept. 17 at 6:45 p.m.
The officers were called to the New Avenue Apartment where they investigated a report of a citizen dispute.
After their investigation, Jayniene McCarthy was taken into custody without being lodged.
McCarthy is scheduled to appear in the Caledonia Court on Oct. 21 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the charge.
