Newbury resident reports vehicle vandalism on Tucker Mountain Road

NEWBURY — On September 3, at approximately 4:22 p.m., Vermont State Police were called to investigate a reported act of vandalism at a residence on Tucker Mountain Rd.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks learned that between August 14 and 23, an unknown individual trespassed onto the property of 66-year-old Marjorie Smith by driving a vehicle over her retaining wall.

The vehicle not only damaged both sides of the wall but also became lodged and had to be jacked up to be removed.

The Vermont State Police are actively seeking information from the public that may lead to the identification of the culprit.
