ST. JOHNSBURY — A New York man was arrested and cited for simple assault after an incident at a local redemption center earlier this year, police said.

Jesse A. Bragdon, 46, of Mineville, NY, was accused of assaulting another male by slamming a car door on the victim’s head, causing pain and injuries, according to the St. Johnsbury Police Department.

The incident occurred on Aug. 17 at Cole’s Redemption located at 642 Portland Street.

Officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of the assault.

The subsequent investigation led to Bragdon’s arrest.

On Sept. 15, Bragdon turned himself in to authorities, was processed, and released on a citation.

Bragdon is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Court on Oct. 21 to answer to the charges.
