NEW HAVEN — On Sept. 15, at approximately 9:28 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a reported kidnapping on Red Mill Road in Ferrisburgh, only to find that no such crime had occurred.
Trooper Taylor Demick of the VSP New Haven Barracks arrived at the scene where he encountered 37-year-old Hannah Kiran Morrow of Holyoke, Massachusetts.
Morrow was subsequently trespassed from the Basin Harbor Resort following the initial incident.
Despite the warning, Morrow returned to the Basin Harbor Resort later that evening.
At about 11:06 p.m., troopers located Morrow on the premises and issued her a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Dec. 9 to respond to the charge of unlawful trespass.
State police have provided no further details on what led to the initial kidnapping report or Morrow’s actions leading to the trespass citation.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
