Johnson man faces multiple charges after domestic incident

CAMBRIDGE — A domestic altercation that occurred inside a vehicle on Sept. 14 has led to the arrest of a Johnson man on several charges including first-degree domestic assault and violation of an abuse prevention order.

The Vermont State Police were called to the scene at 2:31 p.m. and identified the suspect as Seth Hoag, 40.

An investigation found that Hoag had physically and mentally harmed a female in the presence of a child.

He also violated a temporary restraining order during the incident.

Authorities apprehended Hoag the following day without incident.

He was transported to the Morristown Police Department for processing and was subsequently held at the Northeast Correctional Complex without bail, pending further legal action.

In accordance with privacy policies, the identity of the victim has not been released by the Vermont State Police to protect the individual’s privacy and safety.
