PROVIDENCE — Two men were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend following traffic stops by state troopers, authorities said.

At 11:14 p.m. on Sept. 14, Guillermo Gamez Dubon, 39, of Providence, was stopped on Ellery Street and taken into custody on charges of forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates and driving with a suspended license — his fourth or subsequent offense, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

Gamez Dubon was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released with a notice to appear in Sixth Division District Court.

Minutes later, at 11:25 p.m., Christian T. Watkins, 47, of Warwick, was arrested on North Main Street on charges of possessing more than 10 grams of cocaine and an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear for embezzlement arraignment, originating from the Warwick Police Department.

Watkins was held overnight at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and awaited arraignment as a violator.

In the early hours of Sept. 15, at 3:43 a.m., Andrew C.

Berard, 40, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Berard was processed and is expected to face charges in court.

Additional details on Berard’s arrest were not immediately available.
