Milford man arrested on child pornography charges

MILFORD — A local resident was arrested Wednesday on multiple counts of child pornography following a collaborative effort between the Milford Police Department and state authorities.

David Lieberman, 33, was taken into custody at approximately 5:19 p.m. after a search warrant was executed by the Milford Police Department Detective Bureau and the Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit at his residence on Casey Drive.

The arrest marks the culmination of a months-long investigation into internet crimes involving children.

Deputy Chief Carlos Sousa acknowledged the dedication of the investigators involved, highlighting their contribution to protecting children from exploitation.

Following his arrest, Lieberman was held on $50,000 bail.

He was transported to Milford District Court for arraignment earlier today.
