Woman arrested for cocaine possession, driving with suspended license in Randolph

RANDOLPH — A late-night traffic stop led to the arrest of a 26-year-old Rochester woman on drug and driving violations, Vermont State Police said.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks pulled over a vehicle on RT 12 near Tatro Hill Road at about 11:05 p.m. on Sept. 9.

The driver, Melody Fairbanks, was found to have a criminally suspended license.

During the stop, authorities discovered Fairbanks was in possession of cocaine.

She was arrested and taken to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

Fairbanks is scheduled to appear in Orange County Superior Court on Oct. 23 at 8 a.m. to face charges of cocaine possession and driving with a criminally suspended license.
