SOUTH BURLINGTON — A traffic stop on Interstate 189 near US Route 7 led to the arrest of a Burlington man for DUI and drug possession on Sept. 6.
Vermont State Police pulled over Mark A. Rich, 53, at 9:08 p.m. after noting multiple motor vehicle violations.
Troopers observed signs of impairment while interacting with Rich, which resulted in his arrest on suspicion of DUI involving drugs.
The investigation also revealed that Rich was in possession of a regulated substance.
He was taken to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing and subsequently released with a citation.
Rich is scheduled to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Nov. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
He faces several traffic violations, including driving on laned roadways, failure to signal, and operating without a license, with associated fines and points on his driving record.
