STAMFORD — A 45-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Monday in connection with a suspected sex trafficking operation at a Stamford hotel.
Sean Lewis faces multiple charges, including trafficking of persons, unlawful restraint and promoting prostitution, following an investigation by the Stamford Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Lewis’ residence at 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 28, with assistance from the Bridgeport Police Department.
Lewis was taken into custody without incident.
The arrest stems from an ongoing investigation into alleged sex trafficking activities at a local hotel.
Police did not release the name of the hotel.
Lewis is charged with trafficking of persons, unlawful restraint in the second degree, promoting prostitution in the first and second degrees, assault in the second and third degrees, and illegal use of a payment card.
Stamford Police Captain Eugene Dohmann said the department remains committed to combating sex trafficking in the community.
