Theft of donation jar reported at Guilford Welcome Center

GUILFORD — Vermont State Police are investigating the theft of a donation jar from a bake sale at the Guilford Welcome Center on Sept. 1.

The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. during a fundraising event organized by Brattleboro Time Trade, a local nonprofit organization.

Troopers from the Westminster Barracks are seeking public assistance to identify the suspect, described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6 feet tall with a slim build, wearing a blue baseball cap.

According to police, the suspect fled on foot to a dark-colored sedan parked on Broad Brook Road in Guilford.
