FALL RIVER — A 34-year-old Dorchester man faces three counts of illegal dumping after an investigation by Fall River Environmental Officers uncovered multiple instances of construction debris left in a protected watershed area.

Environmental Officer William Medeiros received a tip on Aug. 5 about a Dodge pickup truck with a trailer full of apparent construction debris entering the reservation near Blossom Road.

The following day, Medeiros discovered a large pile of debris dumped in the area, consistent with two similar piles found on July 24 and July 29.

Through his investigation, Medeiros identified a suspect believed to be responsible for all three dump sites.

The individual was reportedly involved in an ongoing renovation of a multi-family home in Fall River.

A criminal summons has been requested for the three counts of illegal dumping.

The suspect’s identity is being withheld as charges are pending.

City officials praised the vigilance of community members in protecting the watershed area.

The illegal dumping incidents occurred in a reservation, which is part of Fall River’s protected watershed.

Such areas are crucial for maintaining water quality and environmental health.
