Stamford businesses cited for selling alcohol to minors

STAMFORD — Ten local businesses were cited for selling alcohol to minors during a recent undercover operation conducted by the Stamford Police Department and the Liquor Commission.

The operation, aimed at ensuring compliance with state laws regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages, targeted various establishments throughout the city.

Among the businesses found in violation were Cost Less Wines & Liquor Corp., Harbor Point Wines & Spirits, Cove Road Grocery, Belltown Superette, La Placita Market III, Taste of Poland, Reyes Liquor Store, Stamford Photo & News, Bedford Street Market, and Los Primos Liquor.

The cited businesses now face potential penalties, including fines and possible suspension or revocation of their liquor licenses.

Law enforcement officials stated that they will continue to monitor and enforce compliance to maintain public safety.
