Lowell man arrested for domestic assault and cruelty to a child

LOWELL — A Lowell man was arrested Saturday following a domestic assault incident that also involved cruelty to a child, according to Vermont State Police.

Authorities responded to a call at 12:24 p.m. on VT Route 58 E in Lowell, where they found evidence that Anthony King, 46, had assaulted a household member.

The Vermont State Police, who do not release names of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence, took King into custody without disclosing further details about the victim.

King was processed at the Derby Barracks and subsequently released with a citation to appear in Orleans County Superior Court.

He is scheduled for a court appearance on Sept. 30 at 12:30 p.m. A mugshot has been released with the arrest report.

Court dates and times are subject to change, and the public is advised to confirm arraignment times with the criminal court clerk.
