Man arrested for DUI, driving with suspended license in Mount Tabor

MOUNT TABOR — A 65-year-old man from Bennington was arrested for driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with a suspended license on Friday, Aug. 30.

Vermont State Police troopers responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated driver along US Route 7 near Raymond Road in Mount Tabor at approximately 6:07 p.m.

Upon arrival, they identified the driver as Paul Terwilliger.

During the interaction, troopers noted multiple signs of impairment.

Terwilliger was subsequently arrested and charged with DUI and operation after suspension.

Following the arrest, Terwilliger, who had an active warrant, was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing and was later lodged at Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility due to lack of bail.

Terwilliger is scheduled to appear before the Rutland Superior Court – Criminal Division on Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.
