PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police arrested two individuals in separate incidents Thursday in Providence, including one for forgery and another for assaulting an officer.
At 10:13 a.m., troopers arrested Zacary Brown, 60, of Augusta, Georgia, during a traffic stop on Charles Street.
Brown was charged with forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates.
Later that day, at 10:56 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance on Route 195 and arrested Carlin Lora, 30, of Providence.
Lora faces multiple charges including assault on a police officer, domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and vandalism/malicious injury to property.
Brown was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraigned at the Sixth Division District Court.
Lora was also processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment at the same court.
The Rhode Island State Police continue to investigate both incidents.
