SOMERVILLE — A series of break-ins, a robbery, and multiple assaults have been reported in Somerville, keeping police busy with investigations.
Officers responded to a residential breaking and entering on Marshall St. at 11:06 p.m. on Aug. 22.
The resident found his apartment door damaged and slightly open upon return, though nothing was reported missing.
Two days earlier, on Aug. 20 at 7:40 p.m., Somerville Police were called to Assembly Row for an armed robbery.
A juvenile victim was accosted by two juvenile males with knives, demanding his shoes and belongings.
Police identified both suspects.
That morning at 9:51 a.m., a female victim reported being shot in the face with a BB gun by occupants in a vehicle on Curtis St. the previous day.
She did not sustain injuries.
On Aug. 26, around 9:08 p.m., police responded to an assault at 247 Elm St. The victim claimed he was threatened with a knife/box cutter by a male suspect after withdrawing money from an ATM.
Another breaking and entering was reported on Highland Ave at 10:52 a.m. on Aug. 24, where frozen meat was stolen from a resident’s freezer.
The following day at 12:29 p.m., police investigated a reported breaking and entering on Broadway.
A woman returned to her apartment to find a male suspect inside, who then exited through the front door.
No items were reported missing.
In addition to these incidents, police reported six package thefts, four acts of vandalism, five car break-ins, two motor vehicle vandalisms, and two bike thefts, reflecting a spate of criminal activity in the city.
