1 min read

FALMOUTH — In a significant crackdown on illegal firearms and drug trafficking, the Falmouth Police Department, in collaboration with the Massachusetts State Police and the Cape Cod Drug Enforcement Agency office, has confiscated a ghost gun, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, and a large sum of money from a local man.

Kane Washington was arrested yesterday following a four-month investigation, which culminated with the execution of a search warrant on his safe.

Inside, authorities discovered a ghost gun—a firearm manufactured illegally and lacking a serial number—along with five high-capacity magazines, approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, and nearly $52,000 in cash.

Washington is now facing charges of trafficking in fentanyl, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, and additional charges related to the contraband found in his possession.

The arrest and subsequent seizure underscore the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the intertwined issues of illegal firearms and drug trafficking in the region.

Further details on the case and Washington’s arraignment are pending.
