Roxbury man identified as victim in Dorchester stabbing

BOSTON — Boston Police Department officials have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing on Dorchester Avenue as David Abrain, a 52-year-old man from Roxbury.

At approximately 9:59 p.m. on Friday, officers from District C-11 responded to a call at 1879 Dorchester Ave.

Upon arrival, they discovered Abrain suffering from multiple stab wounds.

He was quickly transported by Boston EMS to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances that led to the stabbing.

Detectives are urging anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at (617) 343-4470.

The department emphasizes that it will protect the identities of those who choose to assist the case anonymously.
