BOSTON — A man was shot and later pronounced dead following a late-night incident in Dorchester, authorities said Sunday.
Boston Police Department officers from District C-11 responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 9:58 p.m. on Saturday at 519 Washington Street.
Upon arrival, the officers found an adult male with gunshot wounds.
The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The Homicide Unit of the Boston Police Department is conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the shooting.
