One dead in Corinth farm truck crash

CORINTH — A man was killed Saturday afternoon when his farm truck veered off the road and crashed into the woods in Corinth, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident happened near the intersection of Beans Mill and Exeter roads at about 4:25 p.m., after the Penobscot Regional Communications Center received reports of the crash.

Emergency responders, including deputies and fire personnel from Corinth and Kenduskeag, found the large farm truck off the road with the male driver trapped between the vehicle and a tree.

Despite the arrival of advanced life support services and Life Flight of Maine, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation and reconstruction of the crash.

The State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit also provided assistance.

No further details about the victim or the cause of the accident have been released as the investigation continues.
