Alburg woman arrested on domestic assault charge

ALBURG — A woman was arrested late Wednesday night on accusations of domestic assault after Vermont State Police troopers responded to a report of an ongoing situation on Poor Farm Rd.

Authorities said that at approximately 11:20 p.m., troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were dispatched to the scene.

Their investigation found that 46-year-old Katie Wright of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, had allegedly caused bodily injury to a family or household member.

Following the incident, Wright was taken into custody without further incident.

She was released with conditions pending a court appearance.

Wright is scheduled to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Grand Isle Criminal Division on Monday, August 26, at 1 p.m.
