Lowell, MA police seize drugs, firearms in Acre neighborhood raid

LOWELL — In a coordinated operation, Lowell Police Department’s Special Investigation Section Detectives, alongside the NEMLEC SWAT Team, carried out a successful raid Thursday, seizing a substantial amount of narcotics and firearms.

The search warrant, executed in the Acre neighborhood, led to the confiscation of fentanyl, crack cocaine, methamphetamine pills, two firearms, a ballistic vest, digital scales, sandwich bags, and $59,509 in cash.

Authorities indicated that the raid was part of a targeted effort to clamp down on local drug trafficking activities.

An adult male, whose identity has not been released pending further investigation, was arrested at the scene.

He faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking, illegal possession of narcotics, and firearms offenses.

The Lowell Police Department has not disclosed additional details about the suspect or potential further arrests.
