Pawtucket woman arrested on firearm charge warrant

PAWTUCKET — Troopers arrested a local woman early Thursday morning on a firearm charge warrant.

At 3:56 a.m. on Aug. 22, Jessica Torres, 46, of 100 Arthur Street, Apartment #1, was taken into custody for a Superior Court Bench Warrant at the request of the Attorney General.

The warrant was issued under Rule 9, concerning the original charge of providing false information to secure a firearm or license.

The arrest followed a vehicle stop on Conant Street by Rhode Island State Police from the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

Torres was processed at the barracks before being transferred to the Adult Correctional Institutions Women’s Intake Center.
