SPRINGFIELD — A local man was arrested early Saturday morning after police responded to a domestic dispute on Giddings Street.
Springfield Police Department officers, assisted by Chester Police Department’s Ofc. Harrington and Ofc. Watrous, were dispatched to the scene at about 1:33 a.m. where they investigated the incident involving Jeremiah Webster.
According to the police report, Webster allegedly strangled the victim, resulting in bodily harm.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Springfield Police Department for processing.
Webster has been issued a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division Windsor Unit on Monday to respond to the charge of second-degree aggravated domestic assault.
Following his processing, Webster was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
