Man arrested for DUI, resisting arrest in Middlesex

MIDDLESEX — A local man was arrested late Monday night after his vehicle became stuck on train tracks in Middlesex.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded to the incident at 11:57 p.m. and identified the driver as 34-year-old Brian Watson of East Montpelier.

According to authorities, Watson exhibited signs of intoxication.

When troopers attempted to take him into custody, he resisted arrest.

Following the altercation, Watson was transported to the Berlin barracks for processing.

He has been released on a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Sept. 5 at 8:30 a.m.
