Whitingham search for missing Bennington man to continue

WHITINGHAM — The Vermont State Police are continuing their investigation into the disappearance of a 59-year-old Bennington man, Matthew Houskeeper, who went missing Friday morning.

Authorities have been conducting a search since Houskeeper was reported missing and are planning to carry out a limited search operation in the days to come.

Police encourage the public to be on the lookout for a blue and white kayak, which may be associated with Houskeeper, in the vicinity of the Sherman Reservoir.

The state police are asking for assistance from anyone who may have information regarding the kayak or Houskeeper’s whereabouts.
