PUTNEY — A routine traffic stop on Interstate 91 led to an arrest for a Putney man wanted on an outstanding warrant, state police said.
At 6:19 p.m. on Aug. 16, Vermont State Police troopers from the Westminster Barracks pulled over a vehicle near mile marker 17 for a violation.
During the stop, they discovered that one of the car’s occupants, 37-year-old Christopher Billetdeaux, had an active arrest warrant.
Billetdeaux was promptly taken into custody without any issues and was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility.
Following the court’s directive, he was held on $100 bail.
He received a flash citation to appear in court the next business day at 12:30 p.m. concerning the warrant.
Details about the specific charges on the active warrant were not immediately released.
