PLYMOUTH — A local woman has been sentenced to six to eight years in state prison for her role in a fatal hit-and-run incident, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

On Aug. 15, Kristina Blackmore, 43, of Duxbury, was convicted by a Plymouth County jury of Leaving the Scene of Injury Causing Death and Motor Vehicle Homicide by Negligent Operation in connection with the death of 46-year-old Andrea Gordon.

Judge Diane Freniere handed down the sentence today, which also includes three years of probation following Blackmore’s release.

Additional conditions for Blackmore upon release include the prohibition of holding a driver’s license, completing 150 hours of community service, travel restrictions, and a $4,000 fine.

Gordon was out jogging when she was struck and killed by Blackmore, who then fled the scene.
