Richford man cited for retail theft at local market

RICHFORD — On Aug. 12, members of the Vermont State Police responded to a call at Main St Market after employees reported a retail theft incident.

According to the police report, an unknown male was seen leaving the store with two unpaid items.

The investigation quickly identified the suspect as 26-year-old Mark Clapper of Richford.

Clapper was later found by authorities and was barred from entering the Main St Market.

He was also issued a citation to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court on Oct. 14 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charge of retail theft.
