1 min read

WARREN — Search and recovery efforts for Tuan Baldino, a 35-year-old swimmer from Paramus, New Jersey, resumed today at the Mad River near Warren Falls after he was reported missing on Aug. 10.

The Vermont State Police, along with local search and rescue teams, have been working to locate Baldino but the search was hampered by high and swift water conditions in the river.

The area has been closed to the public, and officials are urging people to stay clear of the location to ensure the safety of the search teams and the effectiveness of the recovery operation.

Efforts continued through Sunday, Aug. 11, but were unsuccessful.

The search is expected to pick up again when river conditions improve, potentially by Monday, Aug. 12.

The Vermont State Police is asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Berlin Barracks at 802-229-9191.

As the operation continues, the Vermont State Police has committed to providing updates on the search for Baldino.

No further details have been made available at this time.
