WHITINGHAM — Following a public appeal for assistance, Vermont State Police arrested 63-year-old Carolyn J. Gagliarducci of Readsboro on charges of petit larceny in relation to a series of thefts from Corse Maple Farm on Corse Road.
Authorities issued a request for information on Aug. 4 after multiple incidents of theft from the self-service maple syrup stand operated by Marshall Dix, 44, of Whitingham.
The community’s response to the original media release helped police identify Gagliarducci as the person of interest.
The initial thefts occurred on Feb. 8 at approximately 9:12 a.m. and Feb. 9 at around 5:23 a.m. After her identification by community members, Gagliarducci was arrested on Aug. 7.
Gagliarducci is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court – Windham County, Criminal Division on Oct. 29 to answer to the charge of petit larceny.
