Falmouth police seize drugs and cash in traffic stop, two charged

FALMOUTH — In a continued crackdown on local drug trafficking, the Falmouth Police Drug Task Force confiscated several types of drugs and a sizable amount of cash during a vehicle stop on Gifford St.

According to a press release issued by the Falmouth Police Department on Saturday, officers seized 8.2 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of fentanyl, and over $7,400 in cash after pulling over a vehicle for undisclosed reasons.

A male passenger from Falmouth faces multiple charges, including possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of Class A and B drugs (subsequent offense), and conspiracy to violate drug law.

The vehicle’s female driver has been charged with possession of a Class B substance and conspiracy to violate drug law.

The Falmouth Police Department continues to target street-level narcotics dealing as part of its broader effort to combat drug-related crime in the community.

Both individuals were taken into custody, and the case remains under investigation.
