Winchester police extradite man from Florida, charge with manslaughter

WINCHESTER — A suspect was extradited from Florida and charged with first-degree manslaughter, among other offenses, following a lengthy investigation by the Winchester Police Department.

Glen Ragin Jr., 25, was detained on a $200,000 bond after an arrest warrant was issued by a Connecticut court.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Jan. 31 on Norfolk Road in Winchester.

According to the Winchester Police Department’s press release, Ragin Jr. faces multiple charges, including first-degree manslaughter with risk, assault in the third degree, passing in a no-passing zone, and reckless driving.

Ragin Jr. is scheduled to appear at Superior Court GA #18 in Torrington this morning.
