Two arrested in Gorham drug bust and burglary investigation

GORHAM — In a coordinated effort on Aug. 7, the Gorham Police Department, together with the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, carried out an arrest and search warrant at a local residence, leading to two arrests on various charges including drug trafficking and burglary.

At around 10:30 a.m., law enforcement officials descended upon 11 Dragon Fly Lane where they apprehended 41-year-old Shawn Boivin of Gorham.

Boivin is facing three counts of trafficking a Schedule W drug, specifically cocaine base, and an equal number of counts for possession of the same substance.

Concurrently, a female resident, identified as 41-year-old Jennifer Jarry, also from Gorham, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants issued by the Westbrook Police Department.

Jarry’s warrants included charges for burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and criminal attempt.

The arrests mark a significant step in the ongoing efforts to combat drug-related offenses and property crimes in the area.

The Gorham Police Department has not released further details about the investigation or the subsequent legal proceedings for the individuals involved.
